Mam duzo acne. and I still have acne dark spot

As a 43-year-old Korean man, skincare was never a big priority for me when I was younger.

To be completely honest, I was the type of person who washed his face with shampoo.
I never had a skincare routine, and I didn't even know where to start.
Moisturizers, serums, active ingredients—none of those things interested me.

For almost 10 years while working in logistics at LG, I struggled with severe acne and redness.

I didn’t know back then, but there were many reasons why my skin became so problematic.

1,. Late-night dinners & drinking with older Korean senior managers
(This is the main reason!!!)

2. A lot of stress with K-company culture (always yes sir no sir...)

3. Using asthma steroid medication (I became having asthma since Corona virus)

It got me many acnes and redness on my face.

Fortunately, after quit LG logistics company, the active acne gradually disappeared.
However, one problem remained.
The dark spots and post-acne on under my jaw line and around my mouth.

My Aura3am Benefit?  😊

One of the unexpected benefits of running Aura3AM is having opportunity to test a wide range of cosmetics from Korea.

Also, I have gained access to the information that most consumers don’t see nor interested.

Because we import and register products for the European market, I regularly review technical documents such as:  Ingredient lists (INCI), MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), Manufacturing facility certifications, Product formulation documents, Regulatory documentation required for CPNP registration and Poland customs clearance.

Plus, I always 2~3times of zoom meeting with each brand companies. (But not with a big and famous brands – They don’t want to meet me because aura3am is small cosmetic store)

This experience taught me that cosmetic marketing and cosmetic formulation are often two different things.

Today, I am still not someone who believe skincare products solve every trouble.
Also  I don't believe every new trend or every viral product deserves a place in my routine.

Instead, I try to understand what is inside a product, why specific ingredients are used, and whether the formulation makes sense for my skin.

I am not a heavy cosmetic user.
I simply choose products that work for me.

My test : Maybena Red Pico Shot Serum

Every morning I take a Vitamin C supplement from product from Biedronka 1000mg.
I love vitamin C. I daily take 2~4 doses.
And I use MAYBENA Deep Red Pico Shot Serum consistently.

The serum is formulated with ingredients aimed at improving uneven skin tone and reducing the appearance of pigmentation.

What I Noticed?

After 2~3 weeks of consistent use, I noticed that the dark spots on my cheeks became visibly lighter.
It used to be really dark and black. But now the spot became more lighter and pinky.
My overall complexion looked brighter and more even.

The improvement was gradual, which is what I generally expect from skincare. Real skin changes usually take time.

When I compare recent photos with older ones, the difference is noticeable. The pigmentation that remained after years of acne has faded significantly.

This is not a miracle product, and everyone's skin is different.

However, based on my own experience, the combination of daily vitamin C and playing with Soju under the sun and good cosmetics helped reduce the appearance of my post-acne pigmentation.

I still keep my routine simple. I still don't use many cosmetics.

But now I choose them with more knowledge—and for me, MAYBENA Deep Red Pico Shot Serum is good.
