Applied after cleansing, toner helps restore comfort to the skin and prepares it for subsequent skincare steps. Depending on its formula, it can support hydration, soothing, smoothing, or improving the appearance of uneven skin tone. Toner is not meant to replace proper cleansing, but rather serves as the first light skincare step before serum and cream.
You can apply a classic toner with your hands or with a cotton pad. An essence toner usually has a slightly richer consistency and will work well when the skin needs extra hydration. Toning pads are pre-soaked with a formula, allowing for quick and even application to the skin. A mist can be used as a refreshing step in your skincare routine or, if the manufacturer allows, before or after makeup application.
In the Aura3AM collection, you will find formulas containing, among others, PDRN, beta-glucan, ginseng, glutathione, retinol, birch sap, carrot, yuzu, centella asiatica, and Houttuynia cordata. Products are available for dry, dehydrated, sensitive, oily, combination skin, and skin with uneven tone.
How to choose the right product? For dry skin, choose a hydrating toner with beta-glucan, birch sap, or hyaluronic acid. Sensitive skin may benefit from gentle pads with carrot, centella asiatica, or heartleaf. If you're looking for a radiant appearance, reach for a formula with yuzu, glutathione, or PDRN. Introduce exfoliating pads and toners with retinol gradually and do not combine them simultaneously with other intensive active products.
Apply toner after thorough cleansing, and before serum, ampoule, and cream. Do not rub the skin too harshly, especially when using pads. Adjust the frequency of use to the type of product, manufacturer's instructions, and your skin's reaction.
